In fields of gold
Kicking around every corner
Saving the pitch by invading it
Through the marks of white chalk in neat geometry
Wholesome food for a physical appetite
So we took our love to the parched earth
In its arm we fell with our hearts held tight
Every time like it was the last time we took to it
But never made promises we broke than kept
Walking by the same arena
As Gladiators on which we someday ran
We had strange feelings in the inside
Inviting our feet, but just once more
Wild on it and wild off it
We fought our fight to own happy souls
That came in small packets of energy
We sometimes did books too, but rarely only ….
Now when we have walked past, finally
Even still every time I walk by an arena
The west wind moves into the jealous sky
Diluting the scorching sun opening its arms to us
Perhaps one more time …..
Perhaps in another way we would have liked better
But then perhaps one lifetime is not enough ……..
We never know …….. do we ?
